01What the programmes publish for customer support teams and call centres
| What it wants | Size | Location | Range | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mercor: Call Center or BPO | "Recorded customer conversations, ideally in more than one language" | 50–5,000 agents | India, France and francophone markets, Latin America, U.S. Hispanic markets, Japan | $20K–$250K |
| Mode | Email, documents, chat, CRM, billing and operations | 30+ | US strongest; others case by case | $100K–$5M |
| micro1 | SOPs, knowledge bases, CRM, project histories | 30+ full-time | US first; strong UK demand | Tiers $100K–500K to $2M+ |
Each programme's own pages, checked 30–31 October 2026. Ranges, not offers. Mercor's call centre markets are specific; UK-only centres should look at micro1 and Mode.

02Why buyers want it
Support teams handle the same kinds of problems thousands of times, and their tickets and calls show how each one gets resolved. That's exactly what AI support agents are being trained to do, which is why both micro1 and Mercor name it.
03What to check first
- Consent for recordings. The recording notice your callers heard probably didn't cover licensing to AI companies.
- Client-owned calls. A BPO handling calls for a client usually can't license them without that client.
- Payment and vulnerable-customer data. Card details and notes on vulnerable customers stay out.
04What's usually licensable, and what isn't
05Get the free guide
The Data Licensing Guide for Customer Support and Call Centres covers it in a PDF for support teams and call centres: what can be licensed, what recording consent and client contracts keep out, and each programme's published figures, with a worked example and the questions to ask before you sign.
06Before you apply
- Separate your own support from work done for clients.
- Check what your recording notices and privacy information say.
- Start with tickets, macros and playbooks, which carry less risk.
- Ask the programme how it de-identifies voice and transcripts.
This isn't legal advice.
07Check which programmes you're likely to match
Our free fit check asks about your size, location, records and tools, then shows which programmes you're likely to match. The programme decides.
08Questions people ask
Can we license recorded calls?
Only with a lawful basis that covers it. "Calls may be recorded for training and quality" was about your own use, not licensing to a third party. Take advice.
We run calls for clients. Can we license them?
Usually not without the client: the calls and customer data belong to their relationship. Check your contracts.
